Great service and eye-catching interior. Ordered hot soba with chicken and egg in it. Thorougly enjoyed it, especially the broth. I will definitely revisit this wonderful restaurant before the end of my stay in Hirosaki and am looking forward to trying out the shrimp tempura soba. To sum it up, its soba is the best thing to have when you want to warm yourself up in the coldest of winter or when you want to cure a hangover.

Quick, friendly, straight to the point service. Love it. The soba was really silky and light. Ordered the tenzaru and the portion was perfect. The two shrimps were huge and delicious. The soba snack that came with it was a nice crisp addition.

弘前で蕎麦……といったら、ここがいいということで出かけてきました。昔ながらの佇まいで，長年 地域の方々から愛されてきた老舗という感じです。丁度お昼という事もあり、店内には6組の先客がいました。天ざる(￥1550)を頼みました。相方も同じもので大盛(￥100プラス)を頼みました。注文してから40分強かかりました💦 いざ実食!!……蕎麦は更科。喉越しは、さほど悪くは無いですが蕎麦の香り・甘みがなく、若干乾き気味だった為、相方は後半頃には、お箸で持ち上げると団子みたいに、くっついて食べにくそう( ;ﾟ³ﾟ)ぁゎゎ……そばつゆは、こっちでいう”しょっぱい”です。甘みというかコクが足りない感じです。天ぷらは、開きにした中サイズの🦐が2本と小さく蕎麦を小さく束ねて、真ん中を海苔で巻いた素揚げが2個(……えっ💦天ぷらこれだけ?!)この素揚げ、蕎麦のカリカリとした食感は別として中央で巻いた海苔がゴムみたいに固く、口の中が痛くなりました。歯の悪い方は要注意⚠前歯差し歯の方も要注意⚠です💦不味いです。それを付けるなら、別なネタを天ぷらでつけた方が見栄えもよく、満足感も得られるのに…(´ω｀）ﾄﾎﾎ…しかし、🦐の天ぷらは、衣も薄くふわっカリっと、とても美味しかったです。結果、蕎麦より🦐天ぷらが一番でした（笑）申し訳ないですが、リピート店ではないです。 個人感想ですのであしからず😌

Very high quality soba. Chairs and tables are authentic handmade from this region - they're smaller than normal chairs so it's a bit cramped, but it adds to the traditional atmosphere.

It was a rainy/windy day and the hot soba with tempura shrimp was the perfect remedy. The staff spoke a little English but they only made a few things and made them well.

1913（大正2）年創業、100年以上の歴史を誇る弘前の老舗蕎麦店「高砂（たかさご）」さん。 高級料亭を思わせる外観で、門をくぐると店先には3組、店内には4組の待ち状態の繁盛っぷり。待つこと40分ほどでテーブルへ案内され、一番人気の「天ざる」を注文しました。 蕎麦は更科系。白く透きとおっており、ナイスビジュアル。香りがとてもよく、あとからスッキリとした甘みが感じられます。量は少なめですね。 つゆは天つゆも兼ねた、少し甘めで濃いめのヤツ。 天ぷらは海老天2尾と挙げ蕎麦。海老天は身を割いてから揚げるタイプで、注文が入ってから海老を掘いて揚げているのだそう。 この海老天がべらぼうに旨く、これを食べるためだけに弘前へ行きたいレベル。カラリと揚げられた衣はサクサク、海老はジューシーで泣くほど美味。 蕎麦も天ぷらも旨く、気付けばペロリ。 これなら2人前でも余裕だったと思えるほどでした。 蕎麦百名店に挙げられないのが不思議なほどの名店。 弘前に訪れた際は必ず訪れてほしいお店です。
