Ikeda — Restaurant in Ito

I recently moved to the area. I’ve had several hamburger steaks or Hamburg as it’s called here as I’ve learned my way around. This place was heads and shoulders above the others. It’s clean, elegant and has a nice view of a Japanese garden styled courtyard from the counter. The service is great. There were a few people when I came on a weekday and two were just leaving as I sat down so I was the only one at the counter. It’s Teppanyaki style which means the chef cooks your food right in front of you on the grill. He was cheerful and friendly. It was a set meal with rice, miso Soup, a salad and choice of drink. I had iced coffee. I have a pretty low budget, so I only spent about ¥2000 for everything including tax. If you’re new to Japan, and on a low budget a place like this is great to enjoy the Japanese hospitality which is world famous and get a good meal for a reasonable price. I’m from the USA and you would never get anything freshly cooked this kind of personal service there for Anywhere near this price. The menu for lunch ranges from ¥1600 to about 10 ¥20,000 which is a little less than $200. I’m pretty sure the dinner menu is higher as to be expected. But that’s high quality steak with all the extras. I went to Cowboys nearby in Kawana, and the price was about the same but the atmosphere was worn out 40 years old without an update and the food wasn’t as good. 히가시이즈 이토시 북부에 위치한 오랜역사를 가진 철판스테이크 레스토랑 입니다.

주차공간은 6~7대 정돈 수용가능한 크기이며 매장 내부는 꽤 넓습니다. 오랜 역사답게 유명인들의 사인이 장식된 벽면이 인상적이네요.

인원수를 말하면 철판이 포함된 다찌로 안내받고 메뉴를 주문하면됩니다.

영어메뉴도 대응하기에 직원분에게 요청하면 영어메뉴판으로 내어줍니다.

저희가 주문한건 점심메뉴인 스테이크정식,햄버그스테이크,오무라이스 입니다.

점심메뉴는 기본적으로 샐러드&밥과 메인메뉴, 음료1종으로 구성되어있으며 코스메뉴를 하시면 여기에 국이나 다른 찬이 추가되는구성입니다.

직원분께서 음료와 물수건, 샐러드를 내어주시고 나면 요리사분이 재료를 가지고 철판앞으로 오셔서 눈앞에서 주문한 메뉴를 직접 구워 주십니다.

능숙한 철판 조리 스킬을 구경해도 좋고, 일행들끼리 담소를 나눠도 좋은 분위기가 맘에 들었네요, 특히 다른 손님들간의 거리가 꽤 있어서 오픈된 공간이었는데도 프라이빗한 기분이 들었습니다.

물론 요리사분께서 플람베 같은 눈요기이벤트도 뺴먹지 않고 해주십니다.

그렇게 조리된 메뉴는 모두 맛있었네요. 제가 주문한 햄버그 스테이크는 이렇게 맛있는 햄버그가 있나 싶을정도로 부드럽고 배합이 절묘했습니다. 스테이크나 오무라이스를 먹은 일행도 모두 만족했었습니다.

1700~3000엔 사이의 메뉴들이라 런치메뉴로서도 싸다고 하긴 힘들지만 맛과 분위기 무엇보다 시종일관 신경써주시는 직원분들의 서비스를 생각하면 돈이 아깝지 않은 경험이었습니다.
