We found Joynt Brewing while traveling through Ito, and it was absolutely worth the visit. The beer was fantastic — fresh, well-crafted, and full of character.

As a home-brewer visiting from Whistler, Canada, I was especially grateful for how welcoming and generous the owner was. He went above and beyond to chat with me about brewing and even took the time to give me a tour of his setup, which was a real treat and something I’ll always remember.

The whole experience felt personal and genuine. The atmosphere of the bar is relaxed and inviting — you can really feel the passion behind it all.

Top taproom and bar in Ito! Always a new menu and selection of great craft beers. The most friendly owners who are great to chat with about all things Ito. Ask for an Espresso Romano as this is a hidden menu item that’s devilishly delish and life affirming; after a night out, or if you find yourself sampling all the libations on the menu (they offer up many cocktails in addition to incredible craft beers). My favorite spot in Itō and one of my favorite spots in all of Japan. The owners are extremely kind and endlessly fun, and this is a place where you can get genuinely amazing craft beer in Japan. Their beers are not just good on the national level, but I think they are competitive with some of the best craft beers I have had internationally.
