Haruchiki — Restaurant in Kagoshima

Stumbling into this place was the absolute highlight of our Kagoshima trip. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was also so warm and welcoming to an extent we have never experienced elsewhere. By the end of the night (well past their regular closing time of 12:30), we had been treated to countless acts of hospitality, had happy full stomachs, and had a great time talking with everyone there. We may make another trip to Kagoshima just to visit here again :)

There was a wide variety of food on the menu and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of every single dish. Haruki has a gift for understanding the special characteristics of each dish and picking the right flavors to complement that.

To the staff at Haruchiki - Haruki, Youko, Hide, Kiyouichi, Aya, and Takashi thank you so much and see...

Would someone give this man and his staff a Michelin star?!

We had dinner there two nights in a row, and while we know there are many great restaurants in kagoshima, we thought why even try when the first hit was a grand slam.

The preparation we can't imagine, and the execution... We could watch Haru and his staff all night. This is a must try in kagoshima if you can get in. This level of quality and craftsmanship does not exist...
