Had the best iced coffee in all of my travels in Japan, hand made by a sweet Ojiisan and Obachan especially for me, in the back of the cutest little van cafe just north of Hase Station. The gentleman took my order, ground the beans, and completed the pour over ritual, presenting a delicious cup of iced coffee. Price was a fair 500 yen for iced, 400 yen for hot. Because while that felt - to use an ocean-themed analogy for Kamakura - like being carried along a wave of tourists, this felt like discovering a secret cove.
