Food: 5/5 We tried the onion rings, fried mushrooms, and their signature Devil Cream Malasada. the onion rings and mushrooms were fried to perfection, hot, crispy and salty without feeling too heavy; some of the best fried food i’ve had in japan.
the malasada is apparently vegan which made me hesitant because i usually don’t like vegan food, but decided to try it anyway. they recommend you start eating it as soon as you get it so the cream doesn’t melt away, and after the first bite I went straight to heaven. this was the single best malasada.. no, the single best DONUT i’ve had in my LIFE, and i was a baker in the US for 4 YEARS. I ate the entire thing in less than 30 seconds.
Location: 5/5 Its right next to Hase station, literally next to the gate, like a 1min walk to the beach
Atmosphere: 5/5 cool vintage surfer shop vibes without feeling dirty, very clean and cool. they play US pop songs on their radio so that made me happy haha.
Service: 5/5 there was one man working on the day we are there. he was super nice and gave us recommendations. the menus are in japanese and english so there was no issues figuring out what we wanted.
total: 20/20 EAT HERE. take your friends here if you want to impress them, this is comparable to my favorite hidden gems in tokyo and I will be adding this to my list of great food spots....

The cozy and minimalist ambiance made us feel instantly comfortable. What truly blew us away, though, was the food—absolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor, and we couldn’t believe it was all plant-based. The burgers were satisfying and creative, and even as meat lovers, we didn’t miss a thing.
Even more impressive, the owner does it all—chef, server, everything. You can feel the passion and dedication in every detail. This is what “smart junk” should taste like. Highly recommend giving this place a try, whether you’re vegan or not. You...
