Ristorante Amalfi — Restaurant in Kamakura

I hade a great time at this place. i let them know before hand when i was booking that me and my partner don't drink alcohol or eat pork. They thankfully made substitutions and handled things very gracefully. We got the sunset course to celebrate an anniversary. The view was great, so was the food and service. Our experience was very positive and we would love to come back here again!

The only negative part of the experience was a very persistent fly, but i don't hold that against them too much as when the weather was nice before the sunset, the had the entire sea facing wall open and it was effectively an open air restaurant. Pretty hard to control flies in...

Reading some of the one star ratings on here, I had some doubts but the waiting time even with reservation on a Saturday 4 mins max. The waitors were nice and courteous. The price is wasnt to bad for two people and the portions were Tokyo-like.

The view was nice and not too windy. Only 3 parking spots and one for small Kei car. They were able to accommodate my non-pork preferences.

Only one restroom for men which also happens to be mixed gender meaning ladies can use all three restrooms and men have to wait to use the mixed gender one!

Overall great place to come for a special occasion or just a nice lunch...

Superb restaurant with a very beautiful view . The food quality is fresh and good. I booked an early lunch (11am) and was able to get a great spot at the veranda. We ordered the course menu. The timing is good, the quality great. Overall, we had a great experience ❤️ I recommend having a reservation prior to going as there's a lot of people coming to the restaurant.
