Fantastic service and excellent food! We were warmly greeted at the door even though we hadn't made a booking, and promptly received a spot. Attentive staff and very helpful, they even remembered which shows we wore and took these out for us when we got up to pay and leave!

Seems like a local favourite as well.

English menu available on iPad, a bit hard to navigate but you get the hang of it.

Oden was delicious, light clean flavourful broth- don't be fooled by the prices of the oden items, everything is larger than you think!

We had also the baked tofu cheese, grilled eggplant and potato salad. Would definitely reccomend the potato salad and baked tofu, Oden was great too!!

スペシャリテ：加賀昼御膳の治部煮

金沢の郷土料理と言われる治部煮。いわゆる肉じゃか的な煮物。もてはやされてるけど金沢おでんと同じで(期待を膨らませてまで)食べるようなモノじゃない。それでも昨今の金沢ブームでいろんな人が食べてみたいと言う。大概のお店で食べることができるそれは、いわゆるおかんの作った肉じゃがと変わらん(食べてみてこんなもんか、と思うような)モノだ。

元々は高級料理で料亭とかで食べれるけれど、そのために1万も2万も払って行くほどのものじゃない、というのが僕の主観。料亭とか行くと、それ以外のお料理が主役になってしまうため、煮物なんぞ脇役になるから記憶に残ることもあまりないし。

それでも、リーズナブル且つちゃんと美味しい、って治部煮をどうしても食べたい、って時はあまつぼ。治部煮のお出汁がしっかり鴨肉や麩に絡むように餡状になっている。鴨肉の臭みもなく、丁寧に作ってあるな〜って感じ。
