Curio Espresso and Vintage Design Cafe is simply amazing and is definitely worth the visit if you are in Kanazawa. The cafe/restaurant is beautifully decorated, spacious and has a relaxing atmosphere to it - perfect for enjoying a coffee or meal. It’s also very clean and well maintained. The staff are very nice and accommodating - service with a smile. The cafe is English friendly and they also have an English menu available. Everything on the menu is wonderful. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with chilli sauce, cheese and red onions, which was delicious. The bun was toasted to perfection. Also ordered the chicken salad wrap, which was equally delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. They have an extensive selection of coffees/coffee drinks to choose from and offer daily specials. You can also order teas, juices and other beverages. They also have Covid safety measures in place, which was most appreciated. The next time you are in Kanazawa, I recommend you stopping by Curio Espresso and Vintage Design Cafe for a great coffee or meal experience - you’ll be happy you’d stopped by. Enjoy 😊

The Pulled Pork Plate is incredibly delicious as is the 美味しい (Oishi) sauce that goes with it. The Cinnamon Ice Cream Latte makes for a great dessert drink and is equally delicious. I brought my mom and she died over the Strawberry Berry Italian Soda. It's filled with frozen berries that add to the taste the longer it sits to melt. That also makes for a great treat at the end of the meal. The staff is super friendly and the prices are excellent for the quality and care that goes into making their delicious treats. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy with great music to calm you down. I wish I lived nearby so I could come all the time. But this is my second time here and I'll be a customer for life.

I visited Curio one day after Christmas Day since I stayed in Kanazawa for a few days. Maybe it was because during the holiday season, it was really slow, cozy and warm with pretty Christmas decorations. I had flat white, then I realized it wasn’t my taste because I normally have espresso drinks with specialty coffee. Their espresso is more traditional, close to Italian style, dark and bold. However, the barista lifted it up with his steaming skills. The steamed milk was silky, smooth and creamy. They warmed up a slice of banana loaf when it was served. The taste and the crunchiness of walnut in it reminded me of my life in North America. Loved it!

Great buzzing atmosphere. Definitely the place to get your coffee fix. Was informed by my Airbnb guide that this outlet is opened by an American (from Seattle) and now lives in Kanazawa. Most of the staff speak English so you would have no problem whatsoever to order. Reminds me a little of the coffee scenes in Italy P/S: To the barista, just a feedback - you checked out on two customers today whether they have paid (which they did promptly after ordering). Maybe make sense if you can jot it down or have everyone settle their bill right away. Not everyone have good memory which is cool but both incidents happened back to back within minutes.

The highlight of our stay in kanazawa. An absolute must visit. The best coffee we’ve had in Japan, but this wasn’t even the best part. The food is incredible, and the owners are outstanding. They speak English and Japanese perfectly. What was meant to be a simple coffee break turned in to us getting an inside scoop of the best places to visit in kanazawa and they even went out of their way to make a reservation at kanazawa’s top restaurant (that is hidden from public sight) for us AND draw out a map for us. We enjoyed everything about curio! It’s also in a cool area too!

I dare you to find a better pulled pork sandwich within 200km (no miles here 😬) the service was everything you'd expect from an establishment in Japan with immediate greeting and water to quench your thirst. The food was everything good and delectable you remember from the states. The portions: perfect. Really the formula is simple and the owner has done an excellent job of making it all come together effortlessly and delicious. I would definitely recommend this establishment and the attentive staff to anyone hankering for a taste of good ol US of A
