What an amazing find!! We just happen to be staying around the corner from Mer Riche and found it very intriguing. It really blew us away. Probably more French than Japanese but that doesn’t explain it. Just very interesting combinations and amazing flavors. Small (seats Au comptoir) and watching the owner(trained at La grande maison in Tokyo-not the tv show!) prepare and cook was a big part of the appeal. Fabulous prix fixe meal that does what the restaurant claims, using Kanazawa ingredients in a French style. If you love seafood and appreciate watching what a master chef can do with it, this is your place. I especially liked the scrambled eggs with hairy crab and the flan with abalone. Masterful dishes. Fantastisch gegeten bij dit kleine sfeervolle restaurant. Het restaurant heeft plek voor max. 10 personen aan de bar. Je krijgt een vast menu van ca. €50 per persoon. Mooi servies waar het op uitgeserveerd wordt en top opgemaakte bordjes. Het tempo waar mee het wordt uitgeserveerd had echt iets rustiger gemogen, na ca. 1,5/2u sta je buiten. Maar alles is goed op smaak en de porties zijn echt groot! Eigenlijk niet helemaal in verhouding tot het totale menu. Japanse keuken met Franse invloeden. In het menu o.a.; Japanse delicatessen, zeetong en wagyu beef. Uiteindelijk sluiten we af met vers gebakken petit fours, o.a. madeleine cakejes - wauw! Uiteindelijk krijgen we nog een zakje met cakejes naar huis. Echt een aanrader, wij hebben onwijs genoten. Ze spreken een beetje Engels maar daar kom je wel uit!
