すし大鵬 — Restaurant in Karatsu

It's a tourist trap and waste of money !!! Very poor quality and very expensive ! Don't be lured by the nice restaurant appearance.

The guy behind the counter pretends to be a "chef", but doesn't have any ingredient and hygiene. He talked too much about his pottery and calligraphy collection instead of cooking !

He served only few bites, like fish guts, daikon sushi and sake for 15,000 yens ! 😭

At the end, I'm not even sure if he really knew how to cook.

I walked by this place and looked at the potteries in the window. Then he came out and said few english words to make me feel comfortable to come in. There was no menu outside, but he said it's an "omakase" course only. First I had some doubt since the 9 seats at the counter were all empty, and usually this kind of place has to be booked in advance. But the interior looked fine and the chef seemed serious, so I thought why not to give it a try we never know... I didn't check reviews before, my mistake. 😢

Finally the worst sushi experience in Japan, and of course never go back there again !

笑いが出るほどのぼったくり店です。 美味しくもないです

ちょっと食べて帰る予定だったので、値段をきいても、まあそんな高くないのでと言われ教えてくれず、会計時に4万超えていたのは驚きでした。笑

なぜ商売できてるかもわかりません、海外旅行客などがカモにされているのでしょうか。使用されているお皿は一級品、

面白い話もしてくれますが肝心のお寿司はおいしくないです笑2人で4万円くらいでしたが、お酒は飲みましたし、小鉢はまあまあだったので、まあ妥当な値段は1万円くらいかな、、？

席の角度的に奥の調理場が見えたのですが、 寿司のネタはまさかのタッパーから登場笑 干からびそうないかをかなり薄く切っていてもちろん味も最悪でした。 海老なんかはスーパーで売ってそうな小さいサイズ、これもまた薄かった笑 あげたらキリないですがいちばん面白かったところは、普通は最後に1巻のみ出す漬物の握りを2回出されたところです。いらねえよ

早くく検挙されないかな...
