My friend and I went to this restaurant for a meal, and the waitress had a cold and indifferent attitude. I initially thought it was just her personality. However, when a group of Japanese-speaking customers arrived, she suddenly became very friendly and polite. After we finished our meal and paid the bill, my friend waited for me outside on a chair while I went to a nearby restroom since the restaurant didn't have one. It was a rainy day, and the surrounding area was not convenient for us to place our travel backpacks. When I returned, my friend told me that the waitress had just chased her away, saying it was a "guest seat" and she couldn’t sit there. As soon as my friend got up, the waitress immediately placed the chair onto a nearby table to make it clear that no one was allowed to sit there. We felt humiliated. Apparently, once we paid the bill, we were expected to leave the restaurant immediately and weren’t even allowed to sit for a short while. I can’t help but wonder how this restaurant trains its staff—are they really this snobbish?
This area is operated by Hoshino Resorts. I wonder if Hoshino knows that their guests come here full of expectations only to leave with...
Read moreThe moment they opened at 5pm for dinner service, we entered and made an order.
It was an interesting place that combined a restaurant at the back of house with the front of house being a spices store. They mainly sell Indian/nepalese spices as well as other spices.
For the food, we ordered two butter chicken curry and two mutton curry. All curries come with either naan or rice (of which you can choose the size). You won't be allowed to order one rice for sharing between two people (we asked for that and it was turned down).
Mutton curry flavour was decent, but obviously adjusted to suit the locals' liking. The meat wasn't as tender as I'd like, unfortunately, but the curry was enjoyable. Butter chicken also pretty good! The cheese naan that we ordered had SO MUCH cheese it was shocking! Didn't feel like a cheese naan, but more of a cheese pizza haha, but we appreciated the generosity in the...
Read moreThe service is the worst I have ever experienced in Japan. So we were not that hungry and ordered a Chicken Curry and Turmeric rice along with a Chai Pot. The staff asked us to order one more drink as a part of the rule, though it wasn’t mentioned anywhere that you must order one drink per person. Coming to next thing, we asked for 5 more minutes to decide as they didn’t have much drink options, but the staff was adamant on doing it right then and there.
The food is not authentic, portions are pretty bad and looks bland and not upto the mark.
Plus the spices they sell are heavily overpriced.
Go at your own risk, and only if you are left with no option. Not going to...
