Absolutely great place to eat out, with fabulous food and great service! We were seated on the second level, which is essentially a gallery with view onto the seating area below, and it felt quite cosy and not as noisy as in the main area. I absolutely loved their flexibility with the menu: When inquiring about the pork loin, I was told that it comes on a bed of cabbage, which I don't like. So I asked whether they would be able to serve it with mashed potatoes instead (which in my view is a winning combination). The waitress had to go back to the kitchen to check, and based on past experience in many other places in Japan, I didn't get my hopes up, but I was absolutely delighted when she came back and confirmed that it was no problem to serve the meat with mash! My dish was amazing, and so was my wife's sauteed salmon. The bread that was served with the meal was heavenly. So much so that we went back the next day to buy some bread to take home with us.

After taking a long walk from the station to the haruinre terrace, i need a very good breakfast. There were several option there, but i chose sawaura bakery because it's look tempting from the outside. The serve western style dishes n bakery. There were lots of interesting bakery inside. I chose several bakery befor get the menu for breakfast. I chose the burger (recommended by the waitres). Turn out the burger is good. The fries is crispy, bun is tender n crisp outside n of course the patty. Tender n juicy I got some bakery to be eaten at the hotel. But unfortunately it become very hard.i have to mix it with tea and milk to make it more tender and edible. I think next time i should consume it while it hot on site Overall it's a good cafe. It's pricy n a very touristy place. Still worthed a visit, especially during auntumn.

An excellent choice for breakfast in karuizawa if you asking me. I would recommend all three main breakfast dishes (except the French Toast if you do not like sweet thing). The most amazing thing for me was their bread. My wife and children did. Not totally agree but before it is. We went there very early during the weekday and there was not a lot of people. There were many nice angles for taking photo. The staff was very helpful as well. Maybe it was Wednesday but a nice breakfast with cooffee in a cozy place which was not crowded is exactly what I want.

Went there on a random weekday after staying at one of the resorts in the area. Even in the rain, the area was so packed, this cafe was the only place we could get a table! But pleasant surprise, we stumbled upon a really awesome restaurant. Lunch comes with a hearty salad and unlimited bread (since it’s a bakery). We ended up trying 5 different breads, all really delicious. Not bad price wise considering the resort area of Karuizawa.

Nice restaurant run by Japanese famous bakery chain. The restaurant is located in the famous shopping mall in Karuizawa, so you can enjoy shopping in addition to the nice lunch. There are other looking-nice restaurant in the mall so you have other choices even if you want to eat other things. The signature of this restaurant is cheeseburger with big portion of fries. Its meat is pretty juicy and buns are fluffy that are worth trying.

The coffee is so great and the breads are awesome. Best in Karuizawa with no doubt. The restaurant here is also popular. The morning we came, it should taken 1 hour more for waiting in line. So we just grabbed a cup of latte and bread for dining outside. Great rest with coffee, snacks and the wonderful street view here! Oh btw, there are some restaurants of Sawamura in Tokyo, so I will definitely go and try, then share for you all!
