cafe patricia — Restaurant in Kawagoe

This is the best cafe I’ve been to in my travels around Japan. Both the food and the coffee are a 10/10. The latte is deliciously smooth and sweet and easily sits at the top of my coffee rankings having had a lot of good coffee back home in Adelaide as well as Melbourne and Sydney. I couldn’t rate my meal any higher, the chicken was tender, the rice was very flavourful and the chilli-ginger-garlic sauce was perfect. Well and truly the perfect hainanese chicken rice by a Malaysian’s standard, it was such an unexpected find on the menu. A nice Japanese twist with the salad and cold soft boiled egg. Staff were very friendly and loved the vibe too. So much love for this place, I am keen to come back...

We came on a Friday afternoon. The atmosphere of the cafe was really nice. On the weekends it can get busy. I really enjoy the staff they are super kind and sweet. We got lemon coffee, hummus and caramel apple loaf with ice cream! The lemon coffee was delicious! Very refreshing and unique! It is slightly sweet but not too sweet. It felt great to be at this little cafe. The owner was so nice, we had a small chat, and she is very passionated about coffee. Their iced coffee was super tasty and I also loved their sandwich (their signature dish) 😊. Hope to meet you one day...
