So glad I came to this place. It was busy around lunch time and I had to queue for about an hour, but I guess also because it was a Wednesday when lots of other ramen places in Kitakata are closed. The wait was well worth it. Excellent ramen, order the “extremely home-made” one with the thick noodles 😋 I was gifted some sake by the owner as well which made up easily for the waiting time. Tasty kitakata ramen in a nice little shop.

Went here to try Kitakatas famous breakfast ramen. They use some thick chewy noodles with a high water content, which makes them still pretty soft. The broth is a very light shoyu broth that isn't too heavy and is perfect for breakfast, but still has plenty of flavor. Their pork is fatty...

Excellent bowl of Kitakata ramen. Looks deceptively simple, but the flavours are amazing. Easily the best ramen I've had in Japan in recent memories.

The restaurant is very small and quaint, so be prepared to wait for a seat. They may end the day earlier than mentioned on google, so don't go...

極太手打ちラーメンを食べました。ふわふわモチモチの麺と澄みきったスープがとても美味しいです。みんなを笑顔にしてくれる店員さんにほっこりしました。広くはないお店ですが昔ながらの食堂の雰囲気がよいです。
