(2025/08/26) Came here for a late 2nd lunch/early second dinner. I had similar soba/ramen in Osaka last year that blew me away. This one did not. It had all of the makings of what was great when I had it in Osaka: the crispy onions, the broth, the noodles. Even the extra non-crispy onions they added elevated the flavor. But a few things were off. Some of the onions in the bowl were a bit too think and weren't cooked well enough. As a result, they would be not soft enough to easily chew through or taste raw (usually both). The meat had no flavor. Season it, brine it in something, do something. Read moreOrdered the normal chicken soba and the chicken tsukemen. Chicken soba was the clear winner, but the tsukemen holds up pretty well too. Tsukemen comes with some grated ginger and chicken soba comes with fried burdock. Both noodles and broth were good, and both came with a piece of char siu, tender chicken breast and bamboo shoots. As you eat the chicken soba, the taste of the burdock slowly seeps in and changes the flavor profile giving you a different experience.
Soup was creamy, mushroomy and chickeny in the most delightful way. Chicken soba was PIPING HOT and 10/10.
