Not only did I have a delicious, healthy, nourishing meal here- but the couple who runs this place left me with the biggest smile. They are so kind and the guy is hilarious. The decor and ambiance is really special. They also have amazing desserts - I bought the oatmeal raisin cookies to go and they are delicious and happen to be vegan too. Kind owner/chef who spoke perfect English. He was very welcoming and even though the menu has several options, he was able to adjust the vegetarian bento to make it vegan. He also offered complimentary hot tea or water.

It’s not the gourmet level meal but it was nourishing and tasted like a good home cooked meal.

The vegetables used were unique and tasty. The interior is comfortable. Shoes must be taken off at the top...

What a great little spot for a bite. We did a quick google search while in the area for dinner and as luck would have it we were out front. The owner is amazing and funny. He also has some of the best dishes we’ve tried in Japan. We told him we’re vegetarian and he took it from there! We’ll add this place to our must return restaurants. It’s worth the train ride for this little gem. Why not check out China Town while...
