BEWARE of the dishonest cashier and owner of the restaurant!!!! My parents visited the restaurant on 10 August. The cashier, seeing that my dad is a senior, tourist insisted that the 10,000 yen note was only 1000. So he ended up handing the cashier 50,000 yen in total. Feeling something was amiss, my parents went to verify with a lady working in the restaurant. And she verified that 10,000 yen is more than enough to foot the bill. They then requested the restaurant to check the CCTV and verified that my dad had indeed handed over 50,000 yen. With that, they hurriedly returned 40,000 yen to my parents and closed the case and tried to just quickly settle the matter. The shop had kept the change of 5,699 yen!
