As the shout goes - WHERE’S the BEEF! WHERE’S the BEEF! 🥩 well down town here in Kobe teppanyaki style good old A5 Wagyu - Sirloin, Striploin, Tenderloin whatever cut your taste desires done to a perfected medium rare, seared n sizzling for a luscious meaty mouthful. The beef, as expected, is beautifully marbled and one can select the preferred cut of choice accompanied by a set of miso soup, rice, veggies, tea n a small dessert. Prices are reasonable for quality cuts and the best convenience is that months long type reservations are not really necessary here. True it’s not a close one on one Michelin dining experience but for those who do not mind it’s still a great meal with an interactive chef conversant in some English. Prices are reasonable and a short queue may prove necessary but it’s easily located and accessible by public transportation. All points taken to account a nice meal with reasonable quality steaks cooked proper at a fair price so yes it’s a go to for all you meat lovers with a penchant for the traditional pan fried Japanese Wagyu beef- Moooo to that 🐄 🐄 and yes a nice cold Kirin or Asahi would wash all that Wagyu down very very well 👌

Getting to this place was interesting. One has to walk through some seedy places and alleyways in order to make your way here. Once you've reached the facade, turn up your head to make sure you're in the right spot, and make your way to a forcibly cozy elevator. Make your way to the 6th floor, where you will be greeted by a cozy, but maximalist restaurant. Classical portraits hung casually on the walls, and the sizzle of the grill invites one's appetite. Once you've been seated and you have ordered, the show begins. Going to Steakland is an experience you should have for yourself, but if I were to highlight the main points, they would be: The beef was cooked to perfection, and was incredibly seasoned and flavorful. The accoutrements provided gave the beef several more dimensions and complex flavors, and this was overall a very satisfying way to taste some Kobe beef. Do not sleep on the garlic chips and bean sprouts either. This place is a must visit.

I came to Kobe to expect some great Kobe steak. Maybe it was the particular restaurant I chose, but the steak that I had at Steakland was average and nothing to rave about. At first glance, the restaurant looked well designed and had some eye catching decor. The waiter spoke English and was quite accommodating. My boyfriend and I both shared a dinner set, which included seafood, and a regular set. The food is cooked and served teppanyaki style and that’s where the experience turned extremely lackluster. The chefs had no expressions and seemed to have passion drained from their faces. It doesn’t really create an inviting mood for their patrons even though they were patient. The Kobe steaks weren’t as amazing as I had imagined walking into here too. Cooked well, texture is good, but not mind blowing experience. Even though this place is priced relatively lower than their competitors around the area, I would urge anyone to spend a little more money on their Kobe meal to have a better experience. I honestly felt as though I was participating in a tourist trap the entire time. *Also a note, you cannot share a dinner set without having your friend(s) order a la carte each or another set each.
