SWEETS PARADISE — Restaurant in Kobe

We went to the small Cafe next to the Buffet-Style Restaurant, both are called Sweets Paradise so I assume they belong together.

We went during the Obungu to Issho collaboration period which was our main reason to come here in the first place. We didn't expect excellent food and so it was, I wouldn't recommend going here for the food. While it wasn't bad (Had a burger with fries and some ice cream with Mochi-like "skin" plus two juices/milk drinks with whipped cream), it certainly wasn't great either nor was it cheap. It tasted like it was mostly either fresh veggies (which is good but not hard to accomplish) or warmed up/fried pre-made items like patties. That was in terms of the burger, for example.

However, the theming made up for it. The "Obungu to Issho" theming was as expected, posters everywhere, a screen with matching videos at the wall plus other decorative items, nice merchandise articles some of which you could only get by ordering and getting them free along with the order (coasters for example).

Staff was nice and Google Translate helped overcome language barriers.

If they have a collab with a product/brand you like, I would recommend going here as it's the theming that made us happy the most. But that counts too, places like any Subway Restaurant lose in that...

Location is very accessible. 6th floor of Clefy Sannomiya.

They offer buffet from 1000 円 without drinks. We got the 1300円 with drinks for 90 minutes.

The buffet included unlimited pasta (6 types of pasta sauce are available! I loved the red sauce 🍝) with some stuff that could put on top like grated parmesan cheese. Curry (they have both sweet and spicy). Of course, unlimited rice, soup, and salad. Oh, they also have unlimited popcorn and cotton candy! Kids will like it!

They have wide range of drinks too from infused water to flavored ones. They have A LOT of hot tea options.

For the dessert, I didn’t see it outstanding. I was expecting too much because of their store name but it was good and worth a try! They have maybe less than 20 options of cake, cupcakes and other sweets that you could try.

You could also have unlimited Häagen-Dazs ice cream but it’s more expensive if you want that.

Today, I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday, and they accepted it. But when I arrived, the staff treated me bad

What made things worse was that the manager was sitting inside next to the customers, using his computer, and didn’t do anything about the situation.

I chose this restaurant for a special occasion, but the way I was treated ruined everything. I wouldn’t want any other foreigner to go through the same experience.
