We were going to go to another restaurant nearby but that turned out to be closed, so we tried Le Garçon Chinois instead. What a pleasant surprise. On arrival we asked (in English) if they were able to offer vegetarian food, which isn’t very common in Kochi - the owner replied “I’ll try”. Myself, a vegetarian, and my two friends ended up getting fantastic food in a great venue and chatted to the owner and some other guests at the restaurant. My food was delicious (vegetarian galette followed by pasta). Others had foie gras, roast chicken, octopus salad and mussels. We all had dessert: banana pie, tiramisu and I had caramel nut tart that was delicious. The locals were very friendly. We offered our seats to some people arriving as we were going to leave and a fun lady said “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”, which I think sums up the restaurant. The owner has lived abroad in USA and Shanghai and his cosmopolitan nature and experience enriches the restaurant....
