Soba Trattoria Takenoya — Restaurant in Kurashiki

The food was great! I really loved the homemade soba with the dipping sauce. Especially loved the pudding dessert with the tea and cookie at the end too!

The ambiance was also quite nice. It’s in a nice secluded area and they have their own garden. If you’ll be seated by a table, you’ll have a view of the garden outside.

Service was also good. They explained that there’s English translations below the menu and had their special limited lunch set also. Would...

The place was really cool and the soba I ordered was good. What I disliked was that they charged for some kind of appetizers we didn't order (it comes with drinks, even though we ordered water). Also the portions were relatively small and on the expensive side. I wouldn't go back again. The soba noodles are homemade and really good. The tried to accommodate our requests as one person in our party is vegan....

A lovely, modern restaurant serving an impressive variety of freshly made meals. I 💕’d my traditional Japanese-style soba! Friendly service team and fair prices for this quality. The garden entrance - stunning! Many options beyond soba noodles!
