These sandwiches were so filling and delicious! They look amazing and taste heavenly and surprisingly doesn't make me feel weighed down and stuffy despite being pretty decent portions if you order the regular size! My husband got the hot chili beef sandwich and I got the Hawaiian Egg sandwich. The sauces and seasoning for my sandwich was delicious and not over done at all! Small details, but I loved that the type of paper they used had a coating on the inside so that any grease does not seep through which is super considerate for these types of sandwiches! We also ordered the crab cream croquette and Japanese chicken I really liked the croquette as it reminds me of a super tasty seafood chowder! Super creamy on the inside with a lovely crunch on the outside. The Japanese chicken was good, but I think my husband was much more impressed than me by the seasoning and its level of crunch to chicken! I enjoyed it, but I just liked everything else more! I got a cappuccino that they accidentally forgot but immediately made when my husband reminded them. I think that it was decent, nit anything g outstanding but still good part of a start to our day before our adventures. This place takes card and they have a dining location next to their ordering counter which has a nice calming atmosphere with quiet music. The area...

Came here with high expectations since this place is rated 4.9. Looking through the reviews I can see it was rated lower before. Then they introduced the genius "5 Star Review for free Mango Ice Cream". Kudos to them, it drives people to their establishment, myself included..
I had a Half Special Beef Sandwich, a side of Shake Potato and a Hash Potato. The sandwich is nothing special, a bit soggy, the beef is a bit fat and full of tendons, and the pickles flavour is the only thing you can taste, it overpowers the whole sandwich.. I couldn't finish the chips (shake potato) since they were so salty and the hash brown was bland, pretty flavourless...
I chose to eat in. It was so hot inside and they have a turned off air conditioner unit right above.. I guess it's to make people more willing to get that free mango ice cream. I'm staying put, I'll get ice cream somewhere else.
Now, for 1,900 yen there are far better places to eat in Kyoto and far cheaper too.
Needed to balance the ratings....
Read morei have never written a review before. the sandwich i had today changed my life. the way that you can order halves of whatever sandwiches you want and try new things…so convenient. i tried the basic egg and then what was essentially a ham egg and cheese. this put every egg sando i have had in japan to shame. i noticed they put bottles of their own original sauce at the table, and i was so excited to try it, but as soon as i bit into the egg sando, i realized it didn’t even need it. it was so intensely flavorful and creamy on its own. the bread is thin enough that it’s not overwhelming the real contents and you don’t fill up on it, but still provides a solid enough structure to hold the pretty messy insides with. the ham egg and cheese was great, but i think i did it a disservice by eating the regular egg (which is STUNNING) first. my life is forever changed. it is deceptively simple. i am breathless. i cannot wait to go back. i am amazed that this place did not have a line...
