This is couple photoshoot review.

My Japanese friend booked for us couple photoshoot via phone, because we were concerned about my partners height causing issues. After fitting 2-3, found right lenght Hakama.

From the start, staff were very patient and answered in our questions regarding what each photo package included. Booking was succesful and the store was easy to find.

Experience itself was exceptional. There was english speaking staff present, so my partner could also get the whole picture whats going on while I was at hair/make-up.

The staff was very upbeat and talkative, which I prefer. Photographer felt professional and guided us through the whole photoshooting.

Whole couples experience took about 2 hours, but it did not feel hurried: we could choose in peace what we want to wear, change clothes, go to hair/make-up, staff dressing us, photoshooting and selfie-time.

After, you can choose to keep the hairstyle (own hair, no accessories) or staff undoing it. Theres make-up removers etc available afterwards.

Service was ok and they had a good range of kimonos. But I hate a bad experience waiting and with the after service.

Was told to come at 2pm, but ended up waiting for an hour before it was my turn. I could have saved on taking the rapid express train to reach there earlier.

I took a plan that came with 6 printed pictures and we were given time to choose the pictures from an iPad after the experience. But since I was in a hurry to leave (was made to wait too long), I had to choose in a hurry. Two days later, I called to change the pictures that I chose to print out and they took down the information and agreed.

However, when I received the pictures 3 weeks later, the ones printed were the ones I chose initially....

I'm shocked by the positive reviews of this studio.

The location is dirty, the kimonos are gaudy and ugly, and the courtyard for personal photography is decorated with dollar store items.

The actual studio photos are so washed out that they are completely useless. I took better photos than the studio photographer with my basic smartphone.
