I truly do not reccomend coming to this resteraunt. I travel all over the world, and have visited many places. I must say, this was one of the worst experiences I have had. I ordered 2 plates of premium wagu beef which clearly reflected 4 pieces of beef per plate and ended up with one plate of 5 pieces. I asked the younger waiter if this was the plate for one or two and he ignored me. I then asked the older waiter (who was a very polite gentleman) however he could not speak English and brought the younger waiter back. I asked the younger waiter again, and he looked at me blankly pretending to not understand. I counted the pieces and said this is 5 pieces. Each plate comes with 4 pieces each as per the photos. Again, no response. A friend suggested to use the translator. He then aggressively responded saying he does not need a translator and can speak English (which to my knowledge was new). He responded that the presented plate was for 2 people and not for one (even though I only received one plate, rather than the 2 I ordered). I counted the pieces again and he didn’t respond and walked away. I saw him shake his head as he exited. I decided it was not worth arguing. The result, I walked away hungry with my partner for an overpriced meal. I must say, he really did not respect me or the owner of the restaurant.
Turns out the rude waiter is from South Korea, so I guess he is not a great representation of Japanese culture. If I was the owner I would remove him from working in my business.
Please be wary of the reviews as they offer a free drink for giving a 5...
Read moreFeels mean to leave a bad review, since we generally had wonderful experiences at other restaurants in Japan, but I just want to warn others that this place is a tourist trap and the 4.9 rating is artificially inflated by giving free drinks to every person leaving a 5-star review (and you only get this offer after you ordered, so it’s too late to leave). The carpets were stained, the surrounding tables weren’t cleaned, and the waiter forgot about almost every item we ordered. The meat was tasty, but the portions were really tiny, and we didn’t get any rice with our dishes. So just beware, this place doesn’t live up...
Read moreFood is amazing. The meet melted in my mouth. We were terrified that we would have to cook the food ourselves as it’s Japanese barbecue place, but there are options that you don’t need to cook. So come here anyway, you can have a Japanese barbecue experience as well as food that you don’t have to cook yourself. We took bibim bap and braised short rib noodle soup and they were both amazing. Bibim bap had meet in it that was nice and crispy and with good seasoning. Rib noodle soup meet just melted in your mouth. Best Japanese restaurant experience so far....
