I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. For 2 people, the price came to 8500¥. We had a jellyfish appetizers which was rather exciting. The sweet and sour pork which is always a staple when I visit a Chinese restaurant. Steamed meat dumpling, and finally the reason why I lost my respect for this restaurant, the pecking duck. The pecking duck was 3500¥ and all we received was 4 pancakes with 4 miniscule slim slices of duck skin. Not only was the taste of the pecking duck average at best, you could hardly taste any of the filling of the pancake, BECAUSE THERE WAS NONE! Even if we paid 1500¥ for the pecking duck, I would still have felt it was slightly expensive. The price of the duck made me genuinely sick to my stomach, as if I had been taken for a fool. As for everything else, the food was good and the price was more reasonable.
The service was also good, they had a large number of staff working for some reason. So there was always someone friendly ready to assist you, and they kept us topped up with water which was nice. My guest love chinese food and historic building. We have a high expectation for this restaurant. The food quite nice with reasonable price. However the service are not good enough. I asked the details about their food (i was only request for no pork meat and oil) he pointed to the food and say no pork oil is possible. Then he made mistake by serving the food that I can not eat. I appreciate the fast response, they changed my food, however the way the second waiter serving my food are unacceptable (throwing the plate in front of me(?) no “excuse me”) no hospitality at all. Food was cold like everything was sitting back there for a long time. Panda Express food court in the mall is better.
Japanese-young waiter had a bad attitude, He would provide us better seating even we requested.
