We came here with 11 friends who used to work in China, looking for authentic Chinese food. It's a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Takeda Station. The restaurant has a well-established appearance. In Kyoto, where light flavors are the norm, she wanted to compete with Sichuan cuisine, which is the opposite of light flavors, and has male flavor, the strong numbing and spiciness. With that in mind, she, who is from Chongqing, opened the restaurant, overcoming opposition from those around her. 24 years later, this restaurant has become firmly rooted in the local community. More than 10 dishes were served on the round table, and we enjoyed the authentic Sichuan flavor. Among them, the Kung Pao Chicken was particularly delicious. Kung Pao Chicken has a mala flavor with a strong Sichuan pepper flavor that you won't find in local Chinese restaurants. It has a slight sweetness and then a spiciness that numbs the taste.
