For my money, this is the best bahn mi joint in Kyoto. More importantly, the family running the place was super cute. Their little baby son was hilarious and running around everywhere.
Back to the sandwich at hand though. The baguette was godtier. The pork was better than anything I could make. All the vegetables were crisp and flavorful. I even got two to go dang it.
Go here immediately. Buy two sandwiches.

Read more初訪問。

By the way, there is also a sugar cane press made in Vietnam, so you can get fresh juice. The bread has a light coconut butter flavor, which seems to be Vietnamese standard. It was my first time tasting it, but I guess they order it from all over the country because it's not available in Japan. I had the special banh mi and the Vietnamese ham banh mi, both of which were very delicious. The ingredients are carefully made by his wife. As shop owner said, eating in is definitely more delicious. A perfectly balanced banh mi with crispy, freshly baked coconut-flavored bread and authentic toppings. It's worth visiting. Definitely...

The son of the owner is adorable, but he got a little handsy and started smacking my ass at one point. The dessert was okay. They unfortunately do not have a bathroom for...
