If you’re looking for a dining experience that combines flavor, skill, and a bit of a show, Teppanyaki Kobe is an absolute must-visit!
From the moment you arrive, the service is outstanding. The staff is incredibly attentive, always ready to explain the menu in detail and offer great recommendations with a smile.
The real star of the night, of course, is the food. Watching the chefs prepare each dish right in front of you is mesmerizing — it’s like a culinary performance! The meats are top-quality, tender, and perfectly cooked. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and the side dishes, like the stir-fried vegetables and fried rice, complement everything beautifully.
The seasoning is balanced, enhancing the natural flavors of each ingredient, and the portions are generous. On top of that, the drink menu and desserts are the perfect way to finish off an amazing meal.
Overall, Teppanyaki Kobe offers not just dinner, but a complete experience — exceptional food, a welcoming atmosphere, and first-class service. Highly...
Read moreIf it wasn’t for the service maybe I’d give it a 3 but the mess up on the bill as well as corking the wine brings down the rating.
Food: The place made me doubt the quality of the cooking (since you see the meat pieces before they cook it). We ordered the sirloin (med) as well as fillet (med-rare) as well as the mixed nigiri. None meet the “melt in your mouth” quality I’ve had elsewhere (and this was the most expensive per gram).
Service: we booked online, they sat us in a private dining room. The waiter serving us seems to be new (to waiting overall). We ordered a bottle of wine, half the cork was on the table by the time I asked him to stop and just get a new one to open myself (but some other staff did it later).
Finally: the bill is in Japanese. Something didn’t make sense to me in the numbers (about 120,000¥ for two people). When I translated the items (use Google camera translate) and pointed to the items they...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this place on a hot day and to our delight tried Kobe beef for the first time. The experience was exceptional, our chef, Kakeru, and our waiter’s service was impeccable, with real care taken in every detail.
We visited for lunch and found it wonderfully relaxing. The Kobe beef was beautifully prepared, and the wine we ordered, smooth & paired perfectly with the meal. The staff were so lovely, explaining the menu and service clearly, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
It is incredible to see such high quality from a restaurant that has only been open for five months. We truly wish them every success and highly recommend visiting, especially at lunchtime if you want the Kobe experience at a great value. Just a short walk from the station, down Pontocho Alley, you will find this gem well worth...
