I had opportunity to visit this coffee shop based on instagram. As a foreginer, I understand there were different culture coffee but I think it would be better to give notice and inform customers about what the coffee shop expect customers to follow. I cam to coffee shop but I was reminded by staffs 3 times, 1st time for asking me packing and tidy areas while I was doing it, 2nd time for asking me be mindful when sitting because it may damage their stuffs.
The coffee latte cost expensive and when I asked and requested for sugar. They took excuses and would not give my sugar.
As foreginers, I think coffee shop need to inform and clarify well their own concept and expectation so certain customers can go and enjoy without reminding. This reminding does not make people feel comfortable and enjoy the coffee. I just stay for 5 minutes and left whole coffee latte...
Read moreThe coffee here is delicious, but that was about it for me. I arrived at about 2pm and all of the lunch items had sold out, so all that was left was cakes and pastries. I got the pear upside down cake, it was dry and I instantly regretted my choice. I should have got the pudding, it looked awesome. The hosts seem to have over complicated the whole seating system. There was a long line whilst I was eating, and 3 spare seats next to me at the counter. Maybe they don't fill the seats, because they only let in who they can serve quickly. Seemed strange though to leave people standing on the street, whilst seats are available. I can't say I would rush back. It's quite out of the way from the main area of kyoto and there's so many other awesome...
Read moreI write this review with a very disappointed mood. This is the worst store I have ever experienced in Japan. As soon as we entered the door, the girl in the white sweater was very cold and unhappy. After sitting down, I found that everyone was wearing coats because the door to the backyard was open. It was very cold in Kyoto today. After college, the temperature felt like minus eight degrees and there was a strong wind. The guest area was very cold. I went to close the door, but the girl came over and closed the door with an unhappy face, and told me that I couldn’t close the door. I asked why it was very cold outside. She said very hard and rudely that it was because the door was broken. But the door was not broken at all, it was just that the sliding door had strong friction and was not easy to open and close. During this period, many customers opened and closed the door. It can be seen that the door was not broken at all and everyone wanted to close it. This girl has no empathy and service awareness, because she is standing in the very warm lobby to work, while customers endure the cold to drink coffee. As a service staff of the store, if the door is broken, you should find a way to repair it instead of just leaving it open. I sincerely suggest that the store owner not to hire this employee again, she will ruin your store. As for the food, it was terrible, terrible coffee, terrible milk foam, terrible latte art, terrible muffins, of course this is not the most important thing. It affected my mood for the whole...
