If you're craving an exceptional Vietnamese dining experience in Kyoto, Beto Kitchen is an absolute must-visit! This cozy yet vibrant restaurant delivers flawless flavors, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you've stepped right into a street-side eatery in Hanoi.
The moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly smiles and an aroma that promises something incredible. The fresh herbs, lime, and chili balance everything beautifully.
The banh mi? Unreal. The bread is crisp yet airy, packed with perfectly seasoned meats, fresh veggies, and just the right kick of spice. And don’t even get me started on their spring rolls—so fresh, so flavorful, and paired with a dipping sauce that’s pure magic.
What truly sets Beto Kitchen apart is the attention to detail and love put into every dish. The flavors are bold yet refined, the ingredients are top-notch, and the portions are incredibly satisfying. It’s a place where each bite feels like a mini celebration of Vietnamese culinary mastery.

Read moreThis is a solid Vietnamese place, just not a lot of seating. There is table seating for a total of 12 people in the entire restaurant if every seat is filled. Two people were doing everything when we went there at 8pm on a Thursday, albeit a holiday. One page of the menu was for vegetarians, which was a real plus for us. 3 out of 6 of us got the beef pho, which seemed to be made of chicken stock, but we weren’t quite sure. It was still good.
