Flat — Restaurant in Kyoto

What a lovely place, I absolutely recommend it! The staff was incredibly friendly, we got to sit on the upper level of the place on tatami mats, so it was the original Japanese experience. The lady would come upstairs to take our order and serve us upon ringing a remote bell. It was nicely air conditioned, and they did have an English menu (which is slightly less detailed than the Japanese, however).

They only accept cash though, that was the only inconvenience for us as we were low on cash and no ATM was around in under 10...
