敬老の日のランチに家族で伺いました。 金閣寺表参道から路地を少し入った所ですが、 観光客は見向きもしない場所にあるこのお店。 少し穴場感があります。

ホテルの総料理長を務めたシェフの作るツボを押さえた文句の無い料理に老若男女大満足しました。

信楽焼の素朴な器が料理を引き立てます。

坪庭が見渡せる一階奥の席がベストポジション。

ランチ3500円のコース オードブル2品、メインは魚かお肉の1品、スープ、デザートにパン、コーヒーはハイCPで満足度十分。

オードブル1品目 シャンパンと酢味噌のカンパチのカルパッチョ 酢味噌風味で織り成すフレンチと和の調和に家族の笑顔。このお店を選んで良かったと思える最初の一品。

オードブル2品目 海老、ホタテとゴボウのスムージー和えに名残鱧のムースとカリカリ海老頭とキャビアを添えて。 ゴボウのほのかな香りと海老ホタテのマッチングが素晴らしい。カリカリに揚がった香ばしい海老、キャビアがこの一品をさらに盛り上げます。カクテル皿の下には生海老が添えられておりほろ苦い海老味噌も味わえます。

本日のスープ 大分産どんこ椎茸のスープ、鰹出汁 椎茸と鰹出汁とフレンチの融合に参りました。日本の出汁文化を世界に拡げるアイデアになり得る可能性を感じさせます。

メイン魚 真鯛のポアレ 皮はパリッと、中はふんわりと火通し。お爺ちゃんお婆ちゃん、家内も満足。

メイン肉 京都産ポークにルビーポルトのソース、ポテトのガレット添え 甘酸っぱい果実の香り、味わいのソースにポークの甘味がベストマッチです。

デザート 鳴門金時のアイスに栗のソース、トルティーヤ添え 栗の風味が生き生きとしたソースに毎朝練った滑らかなアイス。料理の最後を締めくくりにふさわしいクオリティでした。

敬老の日にふさわしいお店で素晴らしい時間を過ごせました。感謝!!

I visited this restaurant with my family for lunch on Respect-for-the-Aged Day. It is located in an alley off the main approach to Kinkakuji Temple. It's a little off the beaten path from the main approach to Kinkakuji Temple. It's a little bit of a hole in the wall.

The chef, who has worked as an executive chef at a hotel, cooked to perfection and satisfied both men and women of all ages.

The simple Shigaraki ware enhances the dishes.

The best position is at the back of the first floor overlooking the tsuboniwa garden.

Lunch course of 3,500 yen Two hors d'oeuvres, one main dish of fish or meat, soup, dessert, bread, and coffee will satisfy you with high CP.

Hors d'oeuvre 1 Kampachi Carpaccio with Champagne and Vinegared Miso My family smiled at the harmony of French and Japanese flavors woven with vinegared miso. It was the first dish that made me happy that I chose this restaurant.

Second hors d'oeuvre Prawn, scallop and burdock smoothie with hamo mousse, crunchy prawn head and caviar. The subtle aroma of the burdock root and the prawn scallops were a wonderful match. The crispy fried fragrant prawns and caviar make this dish even more exciting. Underneath the cocktail plate is a fresh prawn, which you can also taste the bitter prawn miso.

Soup of the Day Oita dong quai shiitake mushroom soup with bonito broth A fusion of shiitake mushrooms, dried bonito soup, and French cuisine. It has the potential to become an idea to expand the Japanese soup stock culture to the world.

Main Fish Poached sea bream The skin is crispy and the inside is softly cooked. Grandma and Grandpa were satisfied, as was my wife.

Main Meat Kyoto pork with ruby port sauce and potato galette The sweet and sour fruit aroma and flavor of the sauce is best matched with the sweetness of the pork.

Dessert Naruto Kintoki Ice Cream with Chestnut Sauce and Tortillas A sauce with a lively chestnut flavor and smooth ice cream kneaded every morning. It was the perfect quality to end the meal.

Even the restroom was a beautiful Japanese architecture! The cuisine was superb from the first dish to the final dessert. The chilled bouillabaisse jelly was a particularly moving encounter. The seafood dish and the main meat course were also exceptionally delicious. Each dish featured sauces and aromatics perfectly matched to the ingredients, bringing us great joy. The array of visually stunning and fragrant dishes left us feeling utterly happy. Above all, its location right next to Kinkaku-ji Temple is a blessing. Spending time in this charming Japanese-style Western room with its beautiful Japanese garden can definitely make everyone feel happy. Finally, this restaurant features a private annex next door, making it ideal for pre-wedding family dinners or celebratory events. We had a wonderful lunch at Shin. The food was incredibly flavorful and refined. Each one of 5 courses were meticulously prepared and presented by an extremely friendly staff that genuinely looked happy to help us. The chef would come and present the dishes, every single one of them delicious. Our 3 teenagers truly enjoyed the meal. And, what a wonderful truffle cauliflower soup!
