A good rest stop after visiting the temple. Its just sited at the road leading back to the main road pass the taxi stand. The steps going up is quite steep so mind your steps. We had a refreshing pancake snack and drink to power up. Its family run and very cozy atmosphere. Large windows enhanced the view outside. So nice for serene peaceful noiseless ambience after the maddening crowd at the kinkakuji temple. 😉 do drop by for a...

Kyoto's heat made a cozy cafe with air conditioning a welcome respite. We indulged in a pancake set and a bowl of hot red bean soup. While the pancakes were fluffy and delicious with honey and butter, they were more of a traditional baked cake than the light and airy soufflé style. The red bean paste was smooth and sweet, although perhaps a bit too sugary...

PLEASE come up here and try the curry. It’s sooooo good! I know I left a terrible picture but the curry was so yummy I couldn’t stop eating. 😭 The curry here is delicious and savory. I already know one of my fondest memories of Kyoto will be the curry I had here. Any time I’m in the area I’m coming HERE to eat....
