I have a life threatening seafood allergy (fish, crustaceans & molluscs) and when I told the staff about my allergy and showed them the allergy sheet I had prepared, they informed the chef who made sure that all of their ingredients were free of any seafood for both broths that the ramen came with. The staff were all very kind and understanding. The service was incredible!

The ramen was delicious and the overall experience was an amazingly positive one. We went back again the following day.

I was concerned about what I would be able to eat in Japan with all is my allergies, but the manner in which the staff took such care with their ingredients really put my mind at ease for the remainder of our time in the...

Really good ramen, they have two options - Kyoto style ramen which is salt-based soup and milky, and soy sauce based soup. Both were delicious - hearty broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The quail egg that comes with the meal was delicious, too bad there's no option to add another one (the pic added here does not do it justice, looks and tastes way better in person). We initially ordered 4 bowls for six people because our parents wanted to share, but after tasting it we promptly ordered 2 more bowls. Definitely stop by here if you are visiting Kinkankuji Temple 👍👍 Closes at 5pm, but they were still taking orders at 4.45pm. Seats...

Great location for a hearty bowl of ramen after walking the Kinkuji Temple gardens. Ramen is tasty and filling. We tried both shoyu and salt in medium size with toppings of grilled pork slices and chicken and quail eggs. Any of the 2 broth options will be great. The noodles used were thicker than what other ramen places use. While some of us were ok with it some in our group said thinner noodles would have been better- i think it’s a preference thing. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. He was a good host and made sure guests feel welcome and asked for feedback. Thank you Utopia Ramen for making our Kyoto visit...

Small, bespoke almost. 10 pax in the restaurant. Very simple menu offering, where they have executed their speciality of ramen. The creamy salt ramen has a beautiful mouth feel, with the broth leaving every noodle covered in the luscious soup. The noodles bouncy, hand cut, and delicate to chopstick and to lips. The broth, rich, balanced and umami flavour with the right accompaniments of spinach, perfect ramen egg and seaweed laver. Service was kind, generous and thoughtful. Very clean restaurant. Stunning bowl of ramen on a cold day!

It's a very good ramen restaurant in Kyoto, possibly the best. This restaurant is located next to the pavilion near the bus stop and it's worth highlighting the friendliness of the two waiters, the speed with which they served the food, and the ramen. We ordered water, a pork rice bowl, and two ramen dishes: pork and spinach ramen (ramen) and pork, spinach, and egg ramen (tougenkyo ramen). The whole thing cost 3,000 yen. We didn't wait for a queue. I highly recommend it; it's a hidden gem and one of the best ramen I've tried in Japan.
