We booked rooms through AirBnb and couldn’t be happier with our stay.

This old style machiya really made our stay in Kyoto special. It’s located very close to the golden temple, and getting to the city centre was easy with a bus stop being right down the street.

If you take a taxi there be mindful that the streets are extremely narrow, so maybe save the driver some hassle and walk the last 100m.
