We’ve just had our best meal in Japan !…. We both went for the Y3,000 Tofu kaiseki style meal, and were treated to 15 or so (we lost count) tofu and vegetarian dishes immaculately presented. (We’re normally meat lovers). Fantastic flavours and textures. Lovely staff as well. We didn’t book and just walked in after exploring the superb temple complex opposite. No crowds! The place feels so authentic for us tourists. You have traditional kneeled tables or seated ones.

We got the vegetarian set of meals (Teishoku ?) and everything was tasty in addition of being beautiful.

We got plenty of tea, including Matcha 🍵 and sesame sweet for starters, and a glass of fresh water.
