Located in a “temple complex” at north west side of Kyoto. The complex is already nice enough to walk around. The temple itself is small but the highlight is the one of the earliest firearms exhibited in the temple. Also there are three zen garden, one of them claims to be the smallest one. The entrance fee is very affordable and there are not much crowd in the temple. Even though it’s hot to visit to here in the summer, it worths because of the aesthetics of the zen garden.

2018年4月 大徳寺を訪れた際に、お庭を公開されている龍源院にも行きました。 予定にはなかったのですが、拝観料も３５０円でしたので、気軽に門をくぐりました。ところが、期待をしていなかっただけにすごく良かったのです。（失礼な物言いです。）お庭そのものが、後に拝観した大仙院等と比較してもとても洗練されています！（あくまでも個人の感想です、悪しからず。）大きくないお庭で、５つありましたが、ごちゃごちゃせず、石や植栽の配置が洗練されており、好みのお庭でした。 写真撮影について、受付で確認した所、「旅の思い出として、個人的にお庭等を撮られるのは構いませんが、それをインターネット（グーグルやブログ等、勿論インスタもです）に載せるのはお断わりしています。」との事。撮影禁止の表示はなかったのですが、確認し、思わず「藪蛇だ～～。」 とっても静かで洗練されたお庭だったので、写真は沢山撮りましたが、受付で説明を伺う前に撮った写真のみ、ＵＰです。（勿論、建物内部の襖絵等は、文化財保護の観点から、何処へ行っても写真を撮りません。） 方丈の東西南北にあるそれぞれの庭と、書院からの庭は、どれも洗練された印象を受けましたが、特に、書院から眺める小さな庭が良かったです。南庭、一枝坦（いっしたん）の解説には、「この雑物なきそのまままの端的な独創性の作庭は、おそらく他に類をみない庭園であろうかと思われる。」 通常公開されている様なので、四季折々の風情を愉しみに、再訪致します。
