The shop is in between two small buildings and the sidewalk is really small. The chef is really careful that the clients don’t disturb the public places, he seems a bit unpleasant but he is just really serious and always supervising.
He prepares tsuekemen and mazesoba. I got the tsuekemen for “beginners”, as the chef calls it. Basically, that’s the one you have to get when you come for the first time. The broth is creamy and tastes good. The noodles are chewy, nice texture. I've been told that Ramen Gundam makes Kyoto Style Ramen, but I'm not certain that's accurate. Still if you're visiting Kyoto for the day, or you've been living here for a long time, this place is worth seeking out.
