Read more楽しみにしていたのですが、ちょっと緊張感のあるお食事になってしまいました。 手元にあったメニューを取ろうとしたら、「右側のメニューには触らないでください」と注意され、 注文後も「メニューは左側に戻してください」とのこと。メニューのポジションには相当なこだわりを感じましたが、肝心の料理の方は、そこまでのこだわりが伝わってこなかったのが残念です。 料理よりメニューの居場所が大事なお店…という新ジャンルを体験させていただきました。 今回はちょっと残念な体験でしたので、このような評価とさせていただきます。
I was looking forward to the meal, but it ended up feeling more like a high-stakes art exhibit than a relaxing dining experience. When I reached for a nearby menu, I was told, “Please don’t touch the menu on the right side,” as if I had reached for a priceless artifact in a museum (I half expected an alarm to go off!). Then, right after ordering, I was instructed to return the menu to the left side—exactly. There was a surprising amount of passion for menu placement, but sadly, I didn’t feel the same level of care in the food itself.
