Rinn Kyoto Gion Shinbashi — Hotel in Kyoto

Our room was ready early, staff were very friendly and helpful, the room and facilities were all very new and clean, loved the bathroom and separate toilet. Location fabulous and easy to get around on foot, glad we were in the more traditional part of the city and had easy access to so many sites on our list from the hotel. Close to train stations and buses. One of our favourite stays in Japan. Very Highly recommended and would definitely choose this hotel again. It would have cost us a lot more to stay in a traditional ryokan in this area so we felt this was a great value alternative.||||On the downside, rooms were a bit tight for space - we had a family of 2 adults and 2 kids so we shared 2 beds and a sofa bed - but had to step over and around our suitcases once opened as there was no place to put them apart from between/under beds. Nice little hotel in a convenient location for Gion and the sights nearby, within easy walking distance of both metro and bus stops. We used the bus to get back from Kinkaku-ji to the hotel and it stops a 3 minute walk away,||The room was small, as is to be expected for a family room, but was clean and comfortable with a toilet separate from the main bathroom. It was very quiet, and had aircon so the temperature was comfortable.
