Itâs open until quite late here. If youâre really hungry, you can come by and have a bowl. Even a medium portion is quite generous. However, the noodles in the soup arenât firm enough.
The place is brightly lit, the tables are large, and the ventilation is pretty good. After eating, you donât smell too much like food, but the area under the tables isnât very clean.
Vegetable Ramen The vegetable noodles come with miso soup, an egg, no fat, and firm noodles. The miso soup is really deliciousâsalty and slightly sweetâbut the broth at the bottom is very salty. If you only drink the soup while the noodles sink, the firm noodles can become soft and fall apart a bit. The menmaïŒbamboo shootsïŒused as toppings are the factory-made kind. The egg is very tasty. The meat slices in the noodles are paper-thin, with barely any meaty texture, and they fall apart easily.
Fried Dumplings The fried dumplings are quite good. The skin is thin, similar to the thin-skinned potstickers from Sihai Youlong in Shanghai.
Fried Japanese horse mackerel The fried Japanese horse mackerel is freshly cookedâgolden and crispy on the outside, juicy inside. However, the portion is only half a slice of fish. The sauce is quite flavorful.
French Fries The fries arenât crispy enough and are a bit soft. The ketchup is very sweet and tangy, with a strong flavor.
Egg Fried Rice Thereâs plenty of egg. The fried rice tastes better than the ramenâlike homemade egg fried rice from back home.
Three-Flavored Platter The platter includes thin slices of pork belly, Korean kimchi from the soup noodles, and seasoned dried bamboo shoots. The meat is served cold and goes well with rice.
Ginger and Soyce Beef Tsukemen (Japanese dipping noodles) These noodles are a limited-time item, served with half the usual portion of noodles. Theyâre medium-thin and have a firm, springy textureâbetter than the soup noodles and ramen. The pork slices on top are sweet and come with mashed ginger, which adds a refreshing touch. However, the dipping sauce tastes like fermented salted fish sauce and...

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner last night at Kyoto Ramen Kairikiya, and we were thoroughly impressed. Right from the start, the ordering process was a breeze thanks to their tablet system. The host was incredibly helpful, pointing out the English menu icon, which made navigating the options super easy for us.
What really stood out was the incredible customization available for their ramen. You can truly make your bowl your own, with tons of options to add or even reduce/remove ingredients to suit your preference. Beyond ramen, they also offer some great smaller sides, like their delicious chicken, which perfectly complemented our meal.
And a huge bonus for beer lovers: if you order a beer with your ramen, it's an absolute steal at just „230! It's a great deal that really adds to the overall value. We highly recommend Kyoto Ramen Kairikiya for anyone looking for a delicious and customizable ramen...
