We had a beautiful experience with the Kimono Tea House. Sakura and Misaki held a very educational, engaging sweet-making wagashi class. The tea ceremony was calm and quite a peaceful experience.

I always wanted to attend a traditional tea ceremony so this opportunity was a great teaching intro. The classes fill up fast so instead of the regular tea ceremony class, I booked the sweet-making and tea ceremony class that included a kimono rental.

You can arrive or check-in about 10 minutes before your class begins. From there they allowed the women to get ready on the 2nd floor and men on the 1st floor. The process of kimono dressing was efficient and easy to follow through. You separate your belongings in a secure space via bag and they provide a purse to which you may place phone, wallet, etc. to bring with you to the ceremony. From there, multiple attendants guide you from dressings, you pick your kimono to rent, and they dress you and assemble a beautiful updo or hair arrangement.

Once everyone is dressed, the class begins in a building right next to the check-in. From there Sakura and Misaki led the sweet-making tutorial. It was so lovely to see everyone’s works of art! The white bean and red bean paste was yummy!! After the sweets we had our...

We had such a beautiful and enjoyable experience here. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and guided through the experience. The Kimono dressing experience is done with care and respect from selecting your preferred Kimono through to having your hair done and adding the final touches, it all immerses you into tea ceremony. Our host for the ceremony created such a wonderful atmosphere. She offered warmth and kindness and created a beautiful connection amongst the group. Her manner of stepping through the ceremony was done with such intent and mindfulness, it was a fulfilling to be part of an experience that offered considered simplicity and deep meaning. One final note, I left some sentimental bracelets in one of the kimono bags offered to us. I returned the next day to retrieve them and the bag was being used by another patron. Our tea ceremony host, recognised us and went above and beyond to find the bracelets and return them to me. We had such a memorable experience here, thank...

My cousin and I chose the tea ceremony with a kimono and it was such a memorable experience. We arrived a little before our reservation and quickly led to the changing section for a kimono where the staff was super helpful and able to communicate with us in English where they also styled our hairs. After we were led to out wonderful guide Miki who had us present from which country we were from demonstrated great knowledge of many cultures, including speaking Spanish with us. She was very charismatic and knowledge, transporting us to a past when tea ceremonies where held. We were able to observe how to prepare matcha and later on practice ourselves. After, we were able to continue using the kimono for a while longer which we completely took advantage and had an enjoyable walk around the area checking a matcha store recommended by our guide. All staff was very helpful and kind, genuinely interested in us having a good experience. Overall, greatly...

I highly recommend this experience — it was incredibly interesting, enjoyable, and truly unforgettable. A big thank you to the entire staff who guided us with such care and attention, especially in helping us wear the kimono, matching the colors beautifully, and explaining the deep cultural meaning behind the Japanese Tea Ceremony. A special shoutout goes to Misaki, who led us through the ceremony. She did an amazing job explaining each step of the ritual, sharing the key concepts and most important words used during the ceremony. Her explanations were not only clear and insightful, but also really engaging. Overall, it was a wonderful experience — relaxing, enriching, and highly recommended for everyone. Once again, compliments to Misaki for making it so special!
