A private old-fashion style cafe in the corner of Kyoto. We felt like stepping into a Ghibli movie once entered, with cozy wooden bars, table and chairs. We ordered a toast, an americano and iced latte and really enjoyed the combo. A charming kissaten style coffee shop. I love these old school pour over spots you can only find in Japan. There is so much atmosphere, always an older gentleman sitting at the bar reading a newspaper. The man serving me, I assume the owner was well dressed, polite and took great care with my coffee. I recently visited Ishihara Coffee and had a superb experience. The coffee here is exceptional, easily one of the best I've ever tried. The butter toast was incredibly comforting, giving a delightful, homey feeling with every bite.
