I ate at an off time before they closed for lunch on a weekday after arriving from Tokyo. I was sat right away and there were only a few other customers. It was a charming, very clean and well appointed space.
I ordered a set meal with dumplings, miso soup, rice and pickled vegetables. I also ordered potato salad as an additional side. My meal was delicious, and every morsel appreciated.
The staff was helpful though mostly hands off, there is even self serve water, so you can eat and manage your drink with little interaction for all the introverts/foreigners.

You can eat less than $10 to have a dinner, unbelievable. My dad accidentally flipped over a miso soup but a server immediately gave him a complimentary of another. We were really appreciate it. While I was waiting outside, I recommended to a couple from France. They had no idea about Gyoza but after eating they liked them. Gyoza would be famous in France, woulnt they? I’ll definitely go back to there. The restaurant is quite small, you may need to wait but worth...
