Wifey and I found this coffee shop literally 10 feet from our Ryokan.
It was one of the only shops open early in Gion for breakfast.
It got busy really fast and a queue started to form after we got in around 8:30am.
Itās a western inspired breakfast spot with some japanese highlights. I wished there were more traditional japanese breakfast options but it is a coffee shop after all.
That being said, the service was fast and attentive. I was surprised at the speed they got the food out as every table was filled. I was expecting a long wait but did not have to wait long.
The food hit the spot, didnāt remember how the coffee tasted so i guess it was just okay lol.

The croissant egg and ham sandwich was good. Toast sandwich was good. Salad was generous and fresh (I was so sad looking at Americans sitting next to us wasting their salad, untouched as they left the cafe). Their milk tea reminded me of Hong Kong Milk Tea. But their cafe au lait was the star. Smooth, silky and not overly burnt coffee beans were used. I enjoyed drinking it!
Fast service, great food, what is...
