Misonobashi Sakai — Restaurant in Kyoto

みその橋 サカイ - Misonobashi Sakai's specialty is reimen noodles (冷麺). Reimen is chilled Chinese noodles topped with a variety of items. Reimen is also known as hiyashi chuka (冷やし中華) outside of the Kansai region and is usually only available in the summertime. I ordered the ham reimen ( ハム 冷麺) which is topped with thin slivers of ham, cucumber and seaweed. Both their noodles and their sauce are thicker than other restaurants' reimen dishes. Their tasty sauce is more savory than vinegary and because of its consistency adheres well to the noodles. I also ordered chicken karage and gyoza which were quite delicious too but not outstanding. I will definitely be going again for the reimen as it's distinct flavor is something you'll crave once...

本日は北大路までラーメン巡り🍜✨

数年前からずっと行きたかった百名店の町中華やさん☺️✨というのも全国から通販でお取り寄せもされている冷やし中華が名物でテレビなどのメディアでも紹介されていて京都の超老舗の有名店です✨

地下鉄「北大路駅」が最寄りなのですが駅からも遠くなかなか行きにくい立地でした✨今回は四条にいたのでバスで向かうことにしました☺️✨京都市バスはたくさん乗っても均一230円って良心的すぎです✨✨

休日は通し営業で15時過ぎに到着し店内まばらですんなり入店することができました✨

タレはゴマだれタレです✨

こちらの冷麺はゴマだれで冷やし中華(冷麺)といえば醤油ダレという印象だったのでそこもかなり珍しいなっと感じました✨

底に溜まっているタレを舐めてみるとゴマの風味と酸味と甘味を感じることができてカラシも入っているのでピリッと辛さもある不思議な味わいです☺️✨
