Mos Burger - Karasuma Imadegawa — Restaurant in Kyoto

I'd heard bad things about Mos Burger but wanted to try it anyway. The service was excellent and the restaurant was spotless, but wow, that was one of the worst burgers I've had from a major fast food restaurant in my life.

A Mos Burger - the trademark burger - is just a microwave burger topped with a sad slice of cheese, some leftover chilli con carne, and a slice of tomato! The fries were average, nothing to shout about. Honestly, the best thing about the meal was the drink.

Burger was okay. This was my first burger I've had since arriving in Japan, and truthfully there is room for improvement. The staff was certainly polite and the store was clean, no complaints in that regard. But the burger was odd. It had a peculiar meat sauce on it that looked like sloppy joes but didn't taste like it, and the tomato is half an inch thick, and seems as though it wants to be the star of the show. The Japanese equivalent of Burger King. And so much better! Decent fries with burgers that were more meaty and tastier than the American fast food equivalent. Instead of sprite, coke and the usual assortment of sodas, you can drink refreshing melon or cherry drinks.
