Let’s just say, I have been one of the lucky few to have had the pleasure of meeting the amazing owner, and have a wonderful lunch at his fine establishment. I just spent 2 weeks in Japan traveling. When the chance came up to go here, I was very interested and my excitement was rewarded. The owner Kimi, walked me through his entire journey of creating his dream. He’s modest, and it took my asking to get what was what you could say, a story of 40+ years and a lunch. Kimi has followed his dream and has created a unique one of a kind destination that if, you’re lucky enough, you will experience something special. I would’ve never expected this in Japan, no way! The architecture, the warmth, the atmosphere, the food, the creativity all beyond what I was expecting. Kimi, thank you so much for hosting us. And remember, “build it and they will come”. Your friends Bill and Noriko Can’t wait to see you again.

The coffee and desserts are delicious, and the open air seating is a rarity in Japan that makes it a must visit on nice weather days. Highly recommended.

京都北山の素敵なCAFEです。 店内の家具調度も素敵で居心地の良い空間だと感じました。 HONDA CB72という1960年代のスポーツバイクが看板のようにお店の前に置いて有りました。 店内には、DREAM50という1960年代の市販レーサーを90年代に復刻したオートバイが飾られていますが、当時のレーサーそのものにカスタマイズされており、お好きな方にはたまらないと思います。またそれらに関連するパーツやグッズ類もディスプレイされておられ、どれも垂涎の品ばかりで見飽きる事がありませんでした。 オーナーも気さくな方で、とても楽しい時間を過ごせました。 営業時間は、2024年4月末現在12:00〜とのことです。今回は珈琲とバウムクーヘンを頂きましたが、次回はランチを食べに伺おうと思います。
