Kyoto Concert Hall — Attraction in Kyoto

Large, modern, well equipped concert hall. Acoustics are not exceptional but above average. They opt for more omni-directional acoustic dispersal than zone focused. One of the best features of this hall is that it has an enormous pipe organ, allowing it to host some very unique performances. Seating is a little stiff and uncomfortable for long (over 1.5-2 hours) performances, but under that ok. Anecdotally, the organization of the cloak room deserves a call out - even at a completely packed event we were able to get out coats immediately. I have never seen so many staff move so quickly and with such organization! There is also a cafe on premises and a snack bar that has small bites outside the seat area.
